Welcome to LLM-notebook (the “Service”). We take your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share your information when you use our website, browser extension, and the AI / Agent features described above.
1. Information We Collect
To provide the Service, we collect the following types of information:
- Account information: When you register an account, we collect your email address for sign-in, email verification, and password recovery. We use the authentication service provided by Supabase.
- Materials you save or upload: We collect and store the materials you actively save, along with their metadata (such as creation time and source platform), including:
- Files: Documents, spreadsheets, presentations, images, and other files you upload, as well as any text content that can be extracted from them.
- Web links: Web pages you paste and choose to save. To create searchable materials, we fetch and parse the page’s title, content, images, and structural information.
- LLM conversations: Through the browser extension, we read the content of an AI chat page (including your questions and the AI’s replies) only when you actively click “Export / Save”.
- Agent sessions: External Agent sessions imported through a skill (raw conversations; whether they include thinking processes depends on your settings), and the summaries automatically generated from them.
- Notes and organizational structure you create: Rich-text note content, material libraries and folder structure, and related editing and organization information.
- Questions and activity records: Your questions to the AI, materials you mention with @, passages you select and quote, and your acceptance or rejection of suggested edits — used to generate answers and form reviewable session run records.
- Personalized memory: When this feature is enabled, we distill short personal-preference memories from your usage, used only to better tailor the AI to your habits. You can view or delete these memories at any time.
- Feedback: When you send suggestions through the “Feedback” feature, we collect the feedback you provide, your contact email, and any screenshots or images you upload.
- Membership and order information: Order records generated when you subscribe to membership.
- Invitation information: Records of invitation codes you generate or use, used to issue invitation rewards.
- Basic logs: Basic access and operation logs used for stability and usage statistics (such as error messages and request times).
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- Providing the service and its features: Storing, syncing, retrieving, and displaying your materials and notes, and performing web-page parsing, summarization, file-based Q&A (answers include [N] source citations), passage-based Q&A, word-level edit suggestions, and organization and archiving.
- AI processing and third-party LLMs: Parsing, summarization, Q&A, edit suggestions, and organization and archiving rely on large language models. To fulfill your requests, relevant material excerpts, questions, and context are sent to the LLM provider you have selected for processing.
- Native Agent and file operations: When you give instructions, the AI can read and search your materials and propose creating, moving, or renaming notes or folders, word-level edits, and more. Actual changes (such as moving files or applying edits) are made only after you confirm and accept them.
- Personalization: We use personalized memory to make answers fit your working habits better. You can turn it off or delete relevant memories at any time.
- Communication and support: We contact you when you submit feedback to resolve issues you encounter while using the service.
- Product improvement: We analyze de-identified statistical data to improve product features and user experience.
- Billing and invitations: We handle matters related to membership subscriptions, orders, and invitation rewards.
3. Data Storage and Security
- Cloud storage: Your data is stored in the Supabase database and object storage hosted by Alibaba Cloud. We use industry-standard security measures, such as HTTPS transport encryption, to protect your data.
- Access control: Your materials, notes, and conversation records are private by default and accessible only to you (through your sign-in credentials). We isolate multi-user data through per-user authentication and row-level security policies.
- Extension and parsing pipeline: Data produced by browser-extension export and web-page parsing is transmitted directly to our servers over encrypted HTTPS connections, without passing through any third-party intermediary servers.
4. Information We Do Not Collect
To be clear, wedo notcollect:
- Your browser history (except for AI chat pages you actively export).
- Other conversations, web pages, and local files that you have not chosen to save or export.
- Passwords for your accounts on other websites, or sensitive payment information.
5. Data Sharing and Third-Party Services
We do not sell your personal information. We share data with third parties only in the following circumstances:
- Cloud services and infrastructure: We use Supabase hosted by Alibaba Cloud (database, authentication, object storage) and email service providers (for email verification and notifications).
- AI / LLM providers: In scenarios such as parsing, summarization, Q&A, edit suggestions, and organization and archiving, relevant material content, questions, and context are transmitted to the LLM provider you selected for processing, and only to the extent needed to complete the request at hand. Each provider processes data according to its own policies, so we recommend avoiding unnecessary sensitive personal information in your questions or uploads.
- External Agent / skill (optional): When you install this service’s skill into a third-party Agent environment (such as Claude Code) and complete authorization, the tools you authorize may read the materials you select according to the permissions you granted. This is third-party integration that you initiated and authorized; the corresponding processing is governed by the policies of that tool and its model provider.
- Payment channels: Membership subscriptions are paid through third-party payment channels such as WeChat Pay. We only receive the order results they return and never handle your payment credentials.
- Legal requirements: We respond to legitimate requests from regulatory authorities, in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
6. Your Rights
- Viewing and editing: You can sign in at any time to view, edit, or delete your materials, notes, folder structure, and personalized memories.
- Revoking access: You can remove or revoke authorization for the browser extension, skill, and third-party Agents, and turn off personalized memory.
- Account deletion: You have the right to request the deletion of your account. After deletion, your materials, notes, session records, personalized memories, and other data will be permanently removed (except where retention is required by law).
